This is getting boring and irritating... I should have quit this novel after Volume 5. Like I feel so old dealing with this slow burn at a snails pace.

In fact, she always loved him long before the dungeon incident. At first they were just "enemies on paper" all thanks to the Empire and the Dragon Society putting them at odds with one another, but there was that underlying love and respect between these two. After his two year coma, he was broken mentally, physically and emotionally while suffering from past trauma as a slayer. She wanted to heal and build him back up again so expressed her love in a way Leon didn't understand back then with her dragon pride and intensity. He thought she was torturing him and getting revenge but, no she wasn't. From day one, it was never about revenge; that was an excuse. She was rehabilitating him by having him being a father, a husband and wanting to bridge that gap between them with playful yet rough intimacy. She wanted to sleep with him, go on dates with him and have more children with him. She kept herself cold and guarded because she was afraid to be rejected by him, even now.
You see, she always wanted him to be her equal so she had to be tough on him so he can get on her level. However, he ended up surpassing her.
And in one year after his coma, she successfully did that with him being better than he was before 100 times over. Now, they are deeply in love with each other as they are the best of friends, insatiable lovers, and see each other as a real married couple. But most importantly, they are equals and will push each other to become better for years to come.
Good for her and for him proving you can redesign, rebuild and reclaim.
That's because they are in love with each other. She is actually giving him love but rough, because she is a dragon. And he is just fearful, confused, and misinterpreting her love and affection toward him.
See she is actually in love with him and taking care of him in her own tough love kind of way. She is helping him with his personal trauma and doesn't even know it because right now he is broken--physically mentally and emotionally to see that.
It's pretty obvious Leon is not human and has some dragon lineage. He was an orphan.
He is not human. He has to be a half-breed with dragon blood in him. Possibly the child of some thunder dragon god they had been talking about off and on about again.
