“The Tower Master has arrived!”
“Ahwin! Where on earth are you suddenly heading off to?”
Ahwin abruptly came to a halt. The sound of his feet screeching on the floor echoed lightly.
Penelope, startled, glanced down at the floor, only for Ahwin to sharply twist his neck and speak in a voice filled with quiet menace.
“No one in their right mind would dare follow me, would they? And certainly, there won’t be any fools trying to tail me. Because if they did, the Cafe Run Mage Tower branch might cease to exist.”
“...”
The mages’ eyes wavered anxiously, their unease visible. Ahwin’s voice dropped further, cold and detached.
